Probably my favorite single of the year so far is this blistering little package by the Soft Pack. It’s post-punk madness, a garage growl. The group courted much attention and controversy when they were known as the Muslims, and they finally just got tired of it all, so they went with a bland, uncontroversial name. Now there’s a controversy over that, naturally. Read all about them, (and find videos and more tracks) at Brooklyn Vegan, Some Velvet Blog, and Rollo & Grady, where there’s an interview with the band.
