"Higher:" does what it says on the tin
A quick fix for this morning, to get the feet a-steppin’, the legs a-movin’. I don’t really know too much about this group Soft, other than they are a Brooklyn band (that’s Brooklyn in New York, not the neighborhood in Baltimore where “White Mike” plied his trade on The Wire; I know it’s easy to get them confused), they released an album in 2007, and just recently did a Daytrotter session. I’m stuck on this one track in particular ’cause it really gets the Britpoppy sugar high going in full gear. The two versions are very similar, but I figured that you’re going to want to listen to this track over and over, so you might as well get both versions.
In other news, look for a weekend smorgasboard of “FROM a Friend” posts here on Subanimal Sounds. Some of the comments readers have left are begging for some follow-ups. Happy Friday everyone.
